“Electing a new people” is a phrase coined by US restrictionist Peter Brimelow. It’s one of the most commonly used phrases to describe US immigration policy post-1965 on the restrictionist website VDARE founded by Brimelow.

The phrase was first introduced as the title of a National Review cover story on June 16, 1997, which is now available on the VDARE website here.
